Our tasting room is from 1904 and still features much of the original architecture, fixtures, etc. of the original building. Flanigan’s tasting room is more than just a place to grab a glass of wine, have a cocktail, attend an event, or enjoy a meal. It's a cultural institution that embodies the warmth, conviviality, and storytelling traditions of Ireland. The ingredients for our wines, spirits, world-class foods, and desserts are crafted on site with recipes passed down through generations, ensuring an authentic taste of Ireland is present in all our craft products.

Due to the fact that we sell alcohol at Flanigan's and The Hibernian Events, we don't allow participants under 21 years of age.

Although we aren't completely sure, the building is estimated to have been built sometime in the mid 1850's. In 2023, it was reborn as a captivating event space, seamlessly blends historical charm with modern convenience. Nestled amidst the small town of Bertram Texas, our architectural gem stands as a testament to a bygone era, yet pulses with new life and purpose. The Hibernian Event Space has been meticulously preserved and repurposed to accommodate a variety of hosted events, including Irish High Tea, private meeting events, and even transforming into an authentic prohibition-era speakeasy!

For walk-in Tastings, food, wines, spirits, etc. we accept cash and most major credit cards. For services and events booked online, we accept most major credit cards at the time of booking on our website. Sorry, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and the like are not accepted as forms of payment at this time.

Attending a tasting led by our sommelier-level hosts offers our guests a unique opportunity to learn from our wine experts and gain insights into the fascinating world of wine. You will receive: In-depth Knowledge: A sommelier-level host will provide detailed information about each wine being tasted, including its grape variety, winemaking techniques, the region it comes from, the vintage, and other unique characteristics. ___________ Tasting Techniques: Your host will demonstrate proper tasting techniques, including how to assess a wine's appearance, aroma, taste, and mouthfeel. They may also provide tips on how to identify specific aromas and flavors in wine. ___________ Food Pairing Suggestions: We are experts in pairing wine with food! You can inquire about pairings with our delicious world-class foods and snacks or the different types of foods that you typically enjoy at your dinner table. We may also discuss flavor profiles, acidity, sweetness, and tannins associated with each of our wines. ___________ Wine Etiquette: We will teach you the basics of wine etiquette; such as proper glassware, serving temperature, and decanting practices. We may also discuss how to navigate a restaurant wine list and share the ‘lingo’ you need to use while communicating with sommeliers or servers like a pro! ___________ Q&A and Discussion: Our hosted tastings involve ample opportunity for questions and discussion. Our guests can ask about specific wines, wine regions, production methods, or any other wine-related topics that they're curious about. ___________ Advanced Tasting Notes: We are skilled at articulating the nuances of wine flavors and aromas, so you can expect more advanced tasting notes and descriptors during the tasting. Our world-class wines can be purchased and taken home right from our Tasting Room. We are also introducing our online store where we can ship our wine to you in any one of 35 states here in the U.S. We also sell our wines at local liquor stores and select restaurants. Be sure to ask for Flanigan's by name when visiting your favorite business establishments.
